Environmental responsibility is at the core of everything we do - from the materials we choose to how your order reaches you. The South Downs has been here 100 million years. We'd like to keep it that way.

Why organic cotton

Almost all Chalkland clothing is made with 100% organic cotton, certified by GOTS. This means farming methods are better for ecosystems, encouraging biodiversity without toxic pesticides or fertilisers.  Additionally, to broaden our commitment to circularity, we also incorporate recycled polyester into some of our products.

Made to order

Mass production often leads to mass waste. To combat this, our products are printed on demand, only after you place your order. This approach significantly reduces overproduction and unnecessary waste, saving transport costs and lowering emissions by shipping directly to you.

Eco-friendly Inks 

Chalkland use cutting-edge, water-based inks for all our designs. These inks are free from harmful chemicals and are OEKO-TEX® certified, ensuring they are safe for both you and the environment. They are vegan and eco-friendly. This significantly reduces our impact compared to traditional, chemical-heavy printing processes. We have searched far and wide for a sustainable production partner. Chalkland products are fulfilled by inkthreadable - wholly due to their commitment to sustainability.

Packaging 

Our packaging is handled by Inkthreadble and is plastic free. Another reason why we opted to use Inkthreadble us our fulfilment partner. 

Credentials

Our T-shirts, hoodies and beanies are printed/embroidered on Stanley/Stella garments. Stanley/Stella are widely considered a premier market leader in sustainable print-on-demand and B2B blank apparel and that is exactly why we've chosen them for Chalkland.
